What this course is about

Great injectors are not automatically great trainers. Teaching adults and judging whether someone is safe to treat patients are separate skills, and training providers and insurers increasingly expect trainers to hold recognised teaching and assessing qualifications.

This Level 3 course combines the two parts every aesthetics educator needs. The teaching part follows the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET, the qualification that replaced PTLLS). It covers your role and responsibilities, inclusive lesson planning and delivery, and a micro-teach session. The assessing part follows the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA). It covers assessment principles, observing practical competence and assessing knowledge.

You learn in our working clinic and academy using real aesthetics examples, from writing a lesson plan for anti-wrinkle training to observing and signing off a delegate on a live model. Our team will confirm the awarding body, certification route and portfolio deadlines when you book.
