Course overview

What this course is about

PRF is the next step on from PRP. It is spun at a lower speed with no anticoagulant, so it forms a natural fibrin matrix that holds platelets and white cells and releases growth factors slowly over days rather than hours.

Injectable I-PRF stays liquid long enough to inject, then forms a soft fibrin gel in the tissue. That makes it ideal for delicate areas such as tear troughs and dark circles, crepey skin, fine lines, acne scars and the scalp. It can also be combined with plasma gel for natural volume.

You will learn the full process, from venepuncture and centrifuge settings to timing, injection and aftercare, with hands-on practice on live models at our working clinic.

Curriculum

What you'll learn

  1. 01

    PRP vs PRF vs I-PRF

    • The biology: Platelets, leukocytes, fibrin and growth factors, and how PRF's slow release differs from PRP.
    • Choosing the right protocol: When to use PRP, I-PRF, PRF gel or plasma gel for each indication.
  2. 02

    Blood Collection & Centrifuge Protocols

    • Venepuncture refresher: Safe blood collection, tube selection and infection control.
    • Low-speed centrifugation: Speeds, times and working fast before the fibrin sets.
  3. 03

    Facial Injection Techniques

    • Under-eyes and mid-face: Microdroplet, linear and cannula techniques for tear troughs, dark circles, cheeks and fine lines.
    • Skin and scar protocols: Combining I-PRF with microneedling for texture, acne scarring and skin quality.
  4. 04

    Hair Restoration with PRF

    • Scalp assessment: Hair loss patterns, suitable candidates and setting expectations.
    • Scalp injection protocols: Technique, session planning and combining with other hair treatments.
  5. 05

    Safety & Aftercare

    • Contraindications and screening: Blood disorders, anticoagulants, infection and other exclusions.
    • Complications and aftercare: Bruising, swelling, infection and vascular warning signs, plus aftercare and follow-up.
